How to get to Ulm
Ulm can be reached by plane from three different airports:
Frankfurt (FRA), Stuttgart (STR) and Munich (MUC)
From each of the three airports ground transportation must be used to get to Ulm, either by train or by car. Train tickets can be bought online (www.bahn.de)
Approximate travel times by train are:
Frankfurt - Ulm 2h 15 min
Stuttgart - Ulm 1h 30min
Munich - Ulm 2h
From both Stuttgart and Munich Airport the main train station can only be reached by public transportation (S-Bahn). Frankfurt Airport is directly connected to the railway network, and there are direct trains from Frankfurt to Ulm.
How to find the workshop
If you are coming to Ulm by train you can get to the University of Ulm easily by public transport (see map below). Tickets are either single (2,10 Euros) or a day ticket (4,70 Euros). Single tickets are also available from the bus driver but day tickets can only be bought at a machine. http://www.ding.eu/tickets-kaufen.html
