Visit of our Guest Professor John Sinclair from Cambridge, UK

Prof. Sinclair will visit Ulm (June 7-17)

In cooperation with Prof. Dr. Thomas Mertens (Institute of Virology) the Graduate School gladly announces the visit of our new Guest Professor John Sinclair, Professor of Molecular Virology, School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge, UK.

He will come to Ulm from June 7th till 17th and give several lectures and talks. Those for the Graduate School are:

Scientific Talk: "Epigenetic regulation of human cytomegalovirus lytic and latent infection" (with a short intruduction into the topic) on June 8th 4:00 pm in N24, room 227.  

Science Battle with Prof. Daniel Sauter: "Translating a basic knowledge of herpesvirus infection into a novel therapy for Parkinson’s disease" by John Sinclair vs. "Disarming the cell – how pandemic HIV conquered the world" by Daniel Sauter on June 9th 5:00 pm, N25, HS 8.

Main Lecture: "Cytomegalovirus latency – staying alive during latent infection"  on June 10 5:00 pm at N25, HS 8.  

After the main lecture you have the chance for a "Ask-The-Professor" where you can ask Prof. Sinclair about everything that interestes you about his work, his institute or university.
