Web services are popular and accessed daily by a large number of clients such as browsers or mobile devices They are used by developers to build applications or value-added web services. Over the time, web services are required to evolve because of changing business contexts or new client requirements. In this way, service providers face the challenge of introducing changes to web services while minimizing impact for existing clients. Therefore, strategies are required to manage those changes.

This work examined different approaches to cope with changes and, based on those, designed a concept that is evaluated in terms of effectiveness and practicability.
