This talk will report on a decade of research on a next generation process management technology. First, we will discuss some of the core challenges we tackled during the development of this technology. Second, we will give insights into selected research projects that contributed to this developement. Third, we will present fundamental achievements of these research projects and discuss their high relevance along characteristic process scenarios. Finally, we will show how the research results we achieved were successfully transferred to industrial practice.
