Ulm University Society lecture series
From eye tracking to climate change and science communication to quantum technology

Ulm University

The Ulm University Society (Ulmer Universitätsgesellschaft - UUG) is once again coming to the city centre with its public lecture series. In the 31st edition, on Saturday 16 and 30 November and on 18 January, at 11:00 a.m. respectively, researchers from Ulm University will provide insights into their scientific work. Admission to the generally understandable lectures in the studio of Sparkasse Ulm in the Neue Mitte is free!

It all kicks off on Saturday, 16 November, with a lecture by Professor Anke Huckauf. The psychologist will explain to us what glances mean, what they reveal about us, and how we can even create trust with glances.

On Saturday, 30 November, biologist Professor Emma J. Sayer will talk about tropical forests and climate change, and how efficient science communication can help researchers reach new target groups.

On Saturday, 18 January 2025, Professor Alexander Kühne will take visitors on a journey into quantum science. The chemist will show what organic chemistry can contribute to the challenges of quantum technology.
