Tuition Fees

There are no tuition fees in bachelor and consecutive master programmes. Tuition fees apply to our master programmes in Actuarial Science, Advanced Oncology, Innovation and Science Management as well as Sensor System Engineering.

The following fees are due for all students  for the summer semester 2025:

The following fees are due for all students for the winter semester 2024/2025:

All fees have to be paid by 10 February for a summer semester and by 10 August for a winter semester (during the re-registration process) even if the 10.02. or 10.08. is a Saturday or Sunday. Late payments will be charged a penalty for late re-registration of 20.00 Euro.

Information on tuition fees for second degree students:

Students pursuing a second degree must pay 650 EUR per semester. Students training to become oral surgeons are exempt. As a rule, your programme will count as a second degree if you have already completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Germany.

Should you be liable to tuition fees, you will receive a notification of fees in addition to your letter of admission. Please take note of this notification and promptly return the corresponding information sheet.  If you receive no notification of tuition fees, you are not liable to such fees

Information on tuition fees for international students:

From winter semester 2017/18 onwards, international students wishing to study and pursue a degree in Baden-Württemberg who are not EU nationals (third-country nationals) must pay tuition fees amounting to 1,500 EUR per semester. Further information can be retrieved here

Fee Refunds

Administration fees as well as the fee for the constituted student body will be reimbursed if the prerequisites are fulfilled. The fees will be transferred to the known bank account. You do not have to fill in any forms. A form is necessary, however, if you wish a refund of the student union fee (link to the form to the right).

Administration fees in the amount of 70.00 euros will be reimbursed in the following cases:

  • University withdrawal with immediate effect within a month of lecture commencement

Fees for constituted student body in the amount of 18.00 euros will be reimbursed in the following cases:

  • University withdrawal with immediate effect within a month of lecture commencement

Student union fees in the amount of 60.00 euros will be reimbursed in the following cases:

  • In case of cancellation of enrolment for first-time/new enrolment before the start of the semester (01.10. in the winter semester and 01.04. in the summer semester). The application for a refund must be submitted no later than 31 October in the winter semester and 30 April in the summer semester.
  • In case of termination of enrolment until 31.10. in the winter semster and 30.04. in the summer semester. The application for a refund must be submitted no later than 31 October in the winter semester and 30 April in the summer semester.
  • In case of termination of enrolment at Ulm University and admission at another university within the first month of the semester (31.10. in the winter semester and 30.04. in the summer semester). Deadline for your application is the end of the second month in each semester (30.11. or 31.05.).
  • If a double payment has been made due to enrolment at several universities listed in the fee regulations.

Late fees (penalties) in the amount of 20.00 euros will not be reimbursed.
