MOGADOC Database (Molecular Gasphase Documentation)

 

MOGADOC is a special database for inorganic, organic and organometallic substances, which have been studied since 1930 by means of electron diffraction, microwave spectroscopy and molecular radioastronomy in the gas-phase. The main emphasis oft he database are over 9,000 precise molecular structures of free molecules (among others internuclear distances, bond and dihedral angles, etc.), which can be search by means of (sub)structure retrieval and/or by numeric queries.

 

Thanks to the Dr. Barbara Mez-Starck-Foundation the web-based database, which was established by Barbara Mez-Starck in the 1980s with support of the German federal government, the section Chemical Information Systems is continuously supplementing new entries and is developing new retrieval features.

 

All members of the University of Ulm (staff and students) can use the MOGADOC database within the university network (IP-controlled) for free:
