Preprint Coherent Control of Nuclear Memory Spin in a GeV Multi-Qubit Node published

Ulm University

Our new paper "Coherent Control of a Long-Lived Nuclear Memory Spin in a Germanium-Vacancy Multi-Qubit Node" is now available on arXiv. For the first time, we achieve coherent control of a 13C nuclear spin coupled to a germanium-vacancy (GeV-) center in diamond. Our results show a coherence time of 2.5 seconds— an important step for more robust quantum repeater nodes and enhanced long-distance quantum communication.
