The STEM departments at Ulm University strongly recommend using the online mathematics bridge course OMB+ to prepare for your studies. However, it does not replace participation in the three-week training camp at Ulm University, which takes place before each winter semester.
With the online mathematics bridge course OMB+ you can prepare yourself optimally for a degree course with integrated compulsory mathematics courses. These courses include engineering, economics, natural and computer sciences, medicine, mathematics and all technical subjects.
Twelve German universities have joined forces to jointly develop the concept and content - with the assistance of integral-learning GmbH. More than 70 universities recommend the OMB+ to first-year students as preparation for their studies.

The aim of the OMB+ is to refresh students' knowledge of mathematics at school and provide them with the necessary confidence in dealing with mathematical concepts and applying basic procedures. The content of the OMB+ is based on the minimum requirements for university studies drawn up by the COSH group from Baden-Württemberg.
The OMB+ consists of explanatory texts with many examples, interactive pictures, exercises and tests where you can test your skills yourself. All terms are explained in the course. You do not need any additional aids.
The working method is very flexible. You work when, where and how often you want. All you need is an Internet connection with a standard browser. You can choose to learn alone or together with other course participants in a virtual tutorial. Specially trained tutors in the OMB+ call center are available every day from 10.00 to 20.00 - even at weekends - to answer any questions you may have about the course.

If you have a German Abitur or equivalent, you will need approximately 60 hours to complete the course.
After completing the course, you will be well prepared for the mathematics course of your degree program and can now fully concentrate on the new and fascinating content of modern university mathematics!
