Examination registration takes place ONLY through the Biberach Examination Office.

All students are automatically registered for the upcoming compulsory exams of the current semester (from the 3rd week of lectures).

The following deadlines must be met for cancelling mandatory exams:

• written examinations (written exams): Wednesday of the 8th week of lectures; thereafter for a fee until Friday of the 15th week of lectures
• Oral exams and written papers: Friday of the 15th week of lectures

For elective courses, each student must register independently by the Friday of the 15th week of lectures.

Please note: The semester times of the HBC apply to the deadlines! These start earlier than those of Ulm University.

The exam registration ONLY takes place via the Ulm LSF. At the moment, the compulsory registration still runs via the Biberach LSF, but this is to be abolished in the future. Compulsory registrations via the Biberach system are irrelevant. Regardless of whether the examination takes place in Ulm or in Biberach, only the independent registration via the

Ulm LSF

It also counts ONLY the score in the Ulm LSF, not the one found in the Biberach LSF. This is also to be abolished in the future. There may be administrative fives in some grade reports in the Biberach LSF, but these will NOT be transferred to the Ulm system. In the Ulm LSF, only the grades for the exams for which one has registered will be entered.

Pre-requisites for exams

There are pre-requisites for the following exams:

• Bioprocesses Downstream
• Bioprocesses Upstream
• Immunopharmacology and Antibody Engineering
• Drug Development
• Quality assurance and validation
• Systems Biotechnology (VL Systems Biotechnology & Current Trends in Biotechnology)

First, you must register for the pre-requisite. Only when these have been booked by the respective examiner can you register for the actual exam.

Therefore, please make sure to register in time for the pre-requisites.
