Step 1: Translate page

Select the page module as the tool and click on the "Translate with deepL" button. The page translation is created and the translation suggestion from deepL is entered in the page title. Save or correct the suggested translation.
(If the button is not visible, you must first switch from the column view to the language view).

Select "All languages" or "English" to display the English page view without content.

 

click on the translate button above the English view. An overlay appears with 4 buttons to choose from:

  • Reference
  • Copy
  • deepL (automatic)
  • deepL

 

Select deepL (automatic). All German content elements are suggested for translation. You can still exclude content from the translation if necessary. Then click on continue.
The translations are created and displayed hidden in English.

 

Check the translations and activate them if everything has been translated to your satisfaction.

Notes on data protection

We would like to point out that when using the deepL translation service, your data will be sent to a deepL.com server and translated back into TYPO3. Our licence assures us that your data will be deleted from the deepL server immediately after the translation process and that your data will not be used to train the AI behind it.

Nevertheless, we recommend that you do not have any personal data translated with the help of deepL. You should also not use the service for access-protected content.

  • Text/media elements
  • News/Dates
  • Study programme finder

The content elements Cards, Accordion, Tabs are not yet translated! This is due to the different technical structure of the elements.
