Funding Programmes

To support junior researchers, Ulm University allocates funds from the University Allowance aquired through the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments.
The Graduate and Professional Trainig Center Ulm, ProTrainU, is responsible for the implementation of this measure.

Below you will find an overview of the various funding programmes.

Start-up funding A

For Start-up funding A the call for application will be in November with start of funding in March.
The maximum funding amount is EUR 30,000.

The maximum amount is EUR 10,000.

LGFG Scholarships

Doctoral scholarships under the Postgraduate Scholarships Act of the Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg (LGFG) are granted to highly qualified Phd students. The scholarship sum corresponds to similar amounts granted by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and may be supplemented with achild allowance.
Funding will be provided for up to three years.
