When does the event take place?

The Opportunity Week 2025 will take place from July 14 to July 18, 2025. Registration can be completed on the Opportunity Week main page. Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is February 28, 2025. After consulting with ProTrainU, the Opportunity Week can be combined with a previous and/or subsequent research stay at the respective host institute. The costs for travel and accommodation will be covered by ProTrainU (terms and conditions apply).
 
The institutes and departments of Ulm University design the majority of the Opportunity Week program and will spend most of the time with the invited guests. They will provide insights into their research focuses and opportunities for cooperation. The Graduate & Professional Training Center ProTrainU will contribute to the supporting program with selected events, including the welcome event, information about funding opportunities at Ulm University, a cultural excursion and the closing event.

How to get here
Ulm is easily accessible by plane, train and car. The main railway station offers regular connections to cities such as Stuttgart, Munich and Memmingen. Our International Office can provide you with further information.
Travel expense reimbursement:
The Graduate & Professional Training Centre (ProTrainU) ist unable to cover the costs for flights and public transportation in advance. These costs will be reimbursed afterward. Important: To reveive reimbursement, all receipts must be submitted within 8 weeks after the Opportunity Week, and no later than Sepember 30, 2025, to ensure your expenses are refunded. To sumbit your travel expense report, please download the German or English form.
Please note: Detailed information about your travel, accommodation booking, or transport options will be provided later once you receive a binding confirmation.
Accommodation
A fixed contingent has been reserved for participants in a central accommodation in Ulm.
Getting to Ulm University
The University is easily reachable by public transport. Buses and trams connect the city to the campus.
