Opportunity Week 2025 gives young scientists from all over the world the opportunity to:
obtain information about career and funding opportunities in Ulm.
gain insights into the research location Ulm University and one of its institutes.
expand their networks and promote interdisciplinary co-operation.

When does the event take place?
Opportunity Week 2025 takes place at Ulm University from 14 until 18 July 2025. A detailed supporting programme will be published in advance. Registration takes place on the Opportunity Week main page. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. The registration deadline is 28 February 2025.
The institutes and facilities of Ulm University organise the bulk of the Opportunity Week programme and spend most of the time with the invited guests. They offer insights into their main areas of research and opportunities for cooperation. The Graduate & Professional Training Center ProTrainU contributes to the programme with selected events, including the welcome event, information on funding opportunities in Ulm, a cultural tour and the closing event.

How to get here
Ulm is easily accessible by plane, train and car. The main railway station offers regular connections to cities such as Stuttgart, Munich and Memmingen. Our International Office can provide you with further information.
Travel expenses
The ProTrainU Center cannot make advance payments. The costs for the outward and return flight, accommodation and the use of public transport will be reimbursed after the event. Important: All receipts must be submitted in the original in order to be reimbursed. To sumbit your travel expense report, please download the German or English form. The travel expense report must be submitted within 8 weeks after Opportunity Week, at the latest by 30 September 2025, in order for your money to be reimbursed.
Please note: You will receive detailed information about your journey, the booking of your accommodation and transport options after you have reveived a binding confirmation.
Accommodation
A fixed contingent has been reserved for participants in central accommodation in Ulm.
