Goals of Opportunity Week

Opportunity Week 2025 gives young scientists from all over the world the opportunity to:
attracting young scientists.
to present current research projects to an international audience.
to expand the scientific network.
to promote international co-operation.

When does the event take place?

Opportunity Week 2025 takes place at Ulm University from 14 until 18 July 2025.
A detailed supporting programme will be published in advance. The institutes and facilities of Ulm University organise the bulk of the Opportunity Week programme and spend most of the time with the invited guests. They offer insights into their main areas of research and opportunities for cooperation. The Graduate & Professional Training Center ProTrainU contributes to the programme with selected events, including the welcome event, information on funding opportunitites in Ulm, a cultural tour and the closing event.

 

Important information on registration

Institutes and working groups from the following faculties can invite a certain number of participants from their research areas to Opportunity Week. The following quotas are planned:

 

  • Natural Sciences: 15 places
  • Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology: 10 places
  • Mathematics and Economics: 10 places

 

 

 
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We recommend early registration to ensure that your guests get a place!
Guests register independently via the registration option on the main Opportunity Week web page. The registration deadline ist 28 February 2025.

 

The institutes and working groups must also register their participants by 28 February 2025 by sending a registration list to ProTrainU (protrainu@uni-ulm.de). Both the contact persons and the invited persons will receive a confirmation email. After confirmation, the guests will receive further information on travel, accommodation, catering and the Opportunity Week programme.
