About ProTrainU
ProTrainU is the central coordinating office to support young researchers at Ulm University in the following areas:
- general advising
- career development
- start-up funding for doctoral candidates, postdocs and early stage researchers
On our website you will find general information about pursuing a doctorate at Ulm University, an overview of possible contact persons for questions about academic careers, the courses offered by ProTrainU and other university submissions, as well as information about possible start-up funding.
If you miss anything or have recommendations which might be helpful for others as well, e.g. ideas for courses, please contact us.

Funding: Interdisciplinary Conferences
(Young Academy of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities):
Non-personnel costs & research assistants, up to EUR 11,000 (plus assistance with the independent planning and conducting of the conference / location in Heidelberg / possibility to publish the conference proceeds), for postdocs from Baden-Württemberg (all disciplines), Conference in 2026. Deadline: Mon, 12 May 2025.
