With an all-day kick-off event on January 23, 2025, the official starting signal was given for the extensive project to convert the module, course and examination management system to HISinOne-EXA at Ulm University. The new system will replace the previous LSF and QISPOS platforms, which are currently used at campusonline.uni-ulm.de. The complete changeover is planned for fall 2028 and will take place with a so-called "big bang".
The project team used the kick-off event for internal organization and team building. It consists of 29 employees from the Communication and Information Center (kiz), the Student Administration and Examinations Office and representatives of the faculties. In the morning, the various clients emphasized the relevance and challenges of the project for Ulm University in their speeches: Prof. Dr. Dr. Olga Pollatos (Vice President Education), Prof. Dr. Dieter Rautenbach (CIO), Heidi Krolopp (representing Chief Financial officer Dieter Kaufmann), Dr. Claudia Grab-Kroll (Head of Study and Teaching at the Medical Faculty) and Prof. Dr. Steffen Wendzel (Head of the kiz). The student representatives also contributed their perspective in an impressive presentation by Julius Schürrle and Julia Fokt (StuVe) and emphasized the importance of user-friendly implementation.
This launch marks the start of a multi-year transformation phase in which we will plan, configure, test and implement the new system. The aim is to provide students and those responsible or involved in teaching or study organization processes at Ulm University with an efficient and modern administrative platform in the long term.
