The Universities of Ulm and Kharkiv offer a unique double degree program in Mathematics and Computer Science, tailored to the extraordinary challenges of our time. This Ukrainian-German collaboration combines online courses from the Karazin National University in Kharkiv with on-campus studies at the University of Ulm, allowing students to earn two bachelor’s degrees.
The program begins with three semesters of online instruction from Kharkiv, during which students also learn German. This is followed by two semesters in Ulm, with the option to complete the final thesis in Germany, potentially in collaboration with local industry partners.
Despite the war-damaged facilities in Kharkiv, this program provides Ukrainian students with a secure way to continue their education. Participants benefit from tuition fee exemptions, BAföG eligibility, and a strong support network in Ulm. Graduates enjoy excellent career prospects in fields like data science, AI, and computer technology, as well as opportunities to pursue master’s programs in Germany or Ukraine.
This program deepens Ukrainian-German academic collaboration and equips students with the skills to contribute to their country’s future reconstruction.
