Studies abroad academic advisor for Mathematical programmes
Students of Mathematics
The Faculty of Mathematics and Economics offers its own study abroad advisory service.
Here you find advice on subject-specific questions, questions about study planning and course selection.
For general, non-subject-specific questions about studying abroad and for questions about the application/nomination/... the International Office is responsible. It is advisable to seek advice from the International Office first. The Learning Agreement (before the stay abroad) and recognition (after the stay abroad) are then discussed and processed by the academic advisor of our faculty.
If you have any questions about our faculty programs, you find the relevant contacts on the right-hand side of this page.
Learning Agreements
In order to make it easier to plan the course of studies after the stay abroad, we recommend that Ulm students who are going abroad make a Learning Agreement in advance and thus clarify in advance whether and how academic achievements abroad can be recognized here in Ulm. Students who go abroad via Erasmus are obliged to make such a Learning Agreement.
For non-Erasmus stays, you can find the relevant form here. Enter the courses you would like to take during your semester abroad on the form. Please send
- the completed Learning Agreement form
- a current Ulm transcript
to international.mathematics(at)uni-ulm.de. Make sure that your LA or your e-mail contains links to module descriptions showing the content, scope and level of the courses at the foreign university.
You will receive feedback (usually within two weeks) on the recognition you have requested and, if applicable, your signed Learning Agreement.
Via Erasmus abroad Students write a digital Learning Agreement in the Mobility online portal. Send a list of the courses you wish to take abroad by e-mail to international.mathematics(at)uni-ulm.de. Please also include links to module descriptions showing the content, scope and level of the courses at the foreign university.
You will receive feedback (usually within two weeks) on the recognition you have requested and then draw up your digital Learning Agreement, which will automatically be sent to the relevant examination board for signature.
