Seminar Mathematische Biometrie

Second Zurich-Ulm Seminar: Advanced Statistical Methods in Clinical Epidemiology

Like last year the seminar will be in the form of an international intensive program and is part of an annual series of Zurich-Ulm Seminars in collaboration with the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Zurich (Link).

Date

t.b.a., during the semester break but not during the summer holidays, 2018

Entry Requirements

The seminar is primarily intended for students of Mathematical Biometry (Master). Students must have successfully followed the course Survival and Event History Analysis. Alternatively students interested in the seminar can take Causal Inference in this summer term.

Venue

The seminar will take place on site in Zurich with active participation of researchers and students from both Zurich and Ulm. A keynote lecture by Hein Putter is planned (Leiden University Medical Center). The seminar will be a combination of lectures and research-based exercises (case-studies).

Travel costs

Financial support will be available, but students will be required to account for some of their travel expenses. The current planning is that students will need to pay for the train travel themselves, but not for accommodation.

Certificate

Attendance + Successful completion of case studies
