Dr Olivier Sète

Presentation

I am an academic staff (member) in a permanent position at Ulm University in the Academic Affairs Committee for Mathematics.

Teaching

You can find an overview of the lectures I have given and the courses I have supervised on my private homepage.

Research interests

My research interests are in numerical mathematics and complex analysis, as well as their applications in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. They include:

  • approximation theory, in particular approximation by rational functions and polynomials
  • numerical methods for the Helmholtz equation
  • conformal mapping and potential theory
  • complex-valued harmonic functions and their application in gravitational lenses in astrophysics
