Academic Affairs Committees
The main tasks of the Academic Affairs Committee include drawing up recommendations for the development of study programmes and for the allocation of financial resources for study and teaching. In addition, the Committee takes part in the course evaluation process.
The dean of studies is the chairperson of the Academic Affairs Committee. He is responsible for all tasks related to study and teaching, e.g. to guarantee a proper and complete range of courses in accordance with the study and examination regulations. He prepares the resolution for the study and examination regulations and deals with complaints.
Students can contribute topics and suggestions for the development and improvement of studies and the allocation of financial resources (especially quality assurance funds) to the Academic Affairs Committee via their student representatives.
Furthermore, students have the right to inform the dean of studies about deficiencies in teaching and study or non-compliance to study and examination regulations and to apply for the discussion of the complaint via the student representatives.
