Ulm University is part of a strong network of international partners, which opens up new perspectives for students and researchers and strengthens Ulm’s reputation as an excellent and forward-thinking university. Ulm University is a founding member of YERUN - Young European Research Universities, a consortium of young, research-intensive, and successful universities in Europe, committed to promoting excellence in research and teaching.

Currently, around 12,000 students at GUC study following the model of a German technical university. There is a lively exchange of students and researchers in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as intensive research collaboration. Funded projects are supported through travel, workshops, mentoring programs, and bilateral courses with a research focus. These collaborations have already led to further funding under DFG (German Research Foundation) projects.

This international cooperation strengthens the reputation of both universities and establishes a lasting connection between Egypt and Germany, significantly contributing to international understanding.
