The Buddy Program supports international students and refugees in finding their way around the University and the city of Ulm. Experienced supervisors are on hand for one to two semesters to help new students with organisational questions and also for joint leisure activities. The aim of the program is to make it easier to get started at the University, to promote intercultural exchange and to enable better networking between the participants.

In addition to private meetings of the buddies, events organised by the International Office take place regularly to further promote exchange. Respectful and open interaction is a prerequisite for taking part in this programme.

Participants can get to know Ulm and its surroundings better, improve their language proficiency, develop valuable soft skills for their professional life and make new contacts with like-minded students from all over the world.
