More about the course

First study section (semesters 1-4)

In the first semesters, you will gain a comprehensive insight into working in dentistry. In three introductory courses, you will learn first practical skills (e.g. fabrication of dentures).

  • Internship professional field exploration
  • Preparatory course in preventive dentistry
  • Preparatory course in dental technologies

In addition, the dental education leans heavily on the human medicine degree programme, as you participate in most lectures and practical courses of both disciplines together.

  • Fundamentals of science: biology, chemistry, physics
  • Fundamentals of medical theory: anatomy, biochemistry, physiology

Second study section (semesters 5 and 6)

The second study section serves to prepare students for practical dental work. You will undergo intensive practical training in the four dental disciplines

  • Dental conservation and periodontology
  • Dental prosthodontics
  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery
  • Dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontics

Education takes place in our state-of-the-art dental simulation clinic and  associated laboratories.
