Kyoto, Japan, was hosting the 7th edition of the IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference from December 16 to 18, 2015. Prof. Kargl acted as general co-chair together with Onur Altintas from Toyota ITC. VNC is generally considered the premier conference that focuses dedicatedly on communicating vehicles. With approximately 100 participants, it could even go beyond the good participant numbers of previous years. The presentations covered the full spectrum of vehicular communication, ranging from physical layer aspects to applications. Our institute's research was represented by three presentations in the area of security and privacy protection of connected vehicles.
