The SGI operates and maintains all computer facilities used for teaching in the Faculty of Computer Science. The departmental assistants work closely with the SGI in the context of student training.

It also provides services that are required throughout the faculty.

The SGI is responsible for the lectures 'Einführung in die Informatik' (Introduction to computer science) and 'Grundlagen der technischen Informatik' (Fundamentals of technical computer science), as well as the realisation of the 'Softwaregrundprojekt' (Basic software project). 

The SGI meets every Monday at 10.00 a.m. in room 245 for the departmental meeting.
All faculty members are cordially invited to this meeting.
