Valentin Riemer studied journalism and communication science as well as psychology at the University of Vienna and graduated in 2013 with a Master's degree in psychology on the topic of "Validity and Foundations of Assessing Political Attitudes Based on the Male Face - A Zero-Acquaitance Approach".
From January 2014 to November 2020, he was a research assistant in the project “Serious Games - Competence Promotion through Adaptive Systems” at the Institute of Psychology and Education at Ulm University.
In October 2020, he completed his doctorate on the topic of "Advancing Understanding and Assessment of Learner-State Characteristics Associated with Complex Cognitive Skill Acquisition During Learning with Serious Games".
Since September 2022, Valentin Riemer has been a permanent academic staff member of the Department of Learning and Instruction with a teaching and research focus in the field of educational sciences for teachers.
