The DBIS team is pleased to announce that another former PhD student of the institute was appointed to a professorship. Dr. Bernd Michelberger started working as a professor for business informatics in the department of "Digital Business" at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten in September 2021. DBIS congratulates Bernd on his appointment and wishes him much success and all the best for his future career.

Prof. Dr. Bernd Michelberger completed his doctorate at DBIS in 2015 in the BMBF project niPRO (funding code 17102X10) on the topic of "Process-oriented Information Logistics: Aligning Process Information with Business Processes". In his PhD project he was co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert and Prof. Dr. Bela Mutschler. From 2015 to 2021, he held a leading position in the area of "Machine Learning & Analytics" at Bosch Financial Software/actico GmbH.
