In their invited talks, Manfred Reichert, Martin Theobald and Johannes Schobel addressed current DBIS research works related to Process as well as Data Science.

In his presentation entitled "Why the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Big Data Applications Necessitate Agile Process Support!", Opens internal link in current windowProf. Dr. Manfred Reichert introduced innovative technologies for enabling an agile business process support at the IT level. Then, he discussed the application, relevance and benefits of these technologies in the context of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.  In turn, in his presentation entitled "Mobile Business Apps: Challenges, Technologies, Perspectives", M.Sc. Opens internal link in current windowJohannes Schobel presented innovative mobile applications, DBIS has developed during the last two years (e.g., mobile apps enabling mobile data collection, crowd sensing, and augmented reality). Moreover, Johannes  discussed the challenges raised by the development and operational use of these mobile apps in practice.  Finally, in his presentation entitled  "From Data to Knowledge: Automated Information Extraction Based on Statistical Methods" Opens internal link in current windowProf. Martin Theobald gave first insights into Data Science, a research field that was recently established at DBIS.
