At Ulm University, students can make use of different eLearning offers, which extend traditional lectures and exercises in several respects. In particular, web-based eLearning solutions enable students to practice already acquired knowledge by means of interactive scenarios and various media. Moreover, students may use the eLearning platforms from any place, at any time and as often as required to achieve the desired learning results. With AcquiComP an advanced eLearning platform is jointly being developed for dental medicine students by  the Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) and the Clinic for Dental Prosthetics in a third-party funded project. 

From DBIS, Dr. Rüdiger Pryss Marc Schickler and Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert take care of the technical implementation of the AcquiComP eLearning platform.  Domain-specific requirements are defined by the dentists Alexandra Gelwer, Anna-Sophia Ehleiter and Prof. Dr. Ralph Luthardt from the Clinic for Dental Prosthetics of Ulm University.
