DBIS Teaching Modules in Summer Term 2014

Regarding bachelor studies, DBIS will support the students' basic education through the modules Opens internal link in current windowIntroduction to Computer Science and Programming and Opens internal link in current windowInformation Systems. In addition, the modules Opens internal link in current windowMobile Application Development and Opens internal link in current windowMobile Application Project are offered for media informatics students in the scope of the focus project Mobile Business Applications. Lastly, DBIS also offers the introductory seminar Opens internal link in current windowConcepts for Data and Process Management as well as the bachelor seminar Opens internal link in current windowAdvanced Concepts for Data and Process Management.

For students in master studies, DBIS again offers the established module Opens internal link in current windowDBIS lab, in which students can intensively study state-of-the-art process management technology based on a realistic use case. Furthermore, the well-known modules Opens internal link in current windowDatabase Internals and Opens internal link in current windowService-oriented Computing are also provided in summer term 2014. Naturally, the popular Opens internal link in current windowDBIS master projects as well as the module Opens internal link in current windowAdvanced Mobile Application Engineering (belonging to the same-named focus project) for students in media informatics are provided, too. The broad master teaching program is completed by the seminars Opens internal link in current windowResearch Trends in Information Systems and Opens internal link in current windowResearch Trends in Business Process Management.

  • April 25, 2014, 2 pm, room O27/545: Kick-off meeting for all students interested in DBIS focus projects (only media informatics)
  • April 25, 2014, 3 pm, room O27/545: Kick-off meeting for all students interested in DBIS projects presenting the available topics
  • April 25, 2014, midnight: Deadline for choosing DBIS seminar topics in Opens external link in new windowmoodle
  • April 28, 2014: Publication of the assignments of the seminar topics ("who gets which topic") in Opens external link in new windowmoodle
