The Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) has released the offical iPhone and Android Apps for the Medical Faculty of the University of Ulm. The development of these Apps has been accomplished under the direction of Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert and Rüdiger Pryss. From the side of the Medical Faculty, Claudia Grab, Barbara Eichner, and Susanne Kiefer have been involved in the project. Finally, as students Jochen Herrmann has contributed to the development of the iPhone App and Maximilian Schmid and Jörg Grüning to the one of the Android App.

The initial release of these two Apps provides daily news of the Medical Faculty and its graduate college. Currently, we are working on two additional features. The first one will comprise functions for students to access their curriculum and course information. The second feature will provide navigation support to find course rooms and faculty members.
