The growing possibilities offered by big data analytics have great potential for enhancing production processes. These processes can be improved and simplified by including context information, learning systems, and advanced visualizations. To tackle the accompanying challenges, the Institute of Databases and Information Systems is cooperating with the ATR Software GmbH. The ATR Software GmbH is specialized in developing solutions in the field of automation and production planning for medium-sized companies. The cooperation includes the research on methods for Predictive Maintenance in the pdmInsight project, the supervision of theses and the innovative visualization of production data.
