On October 22, 2009 Stanislav Pokraev successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Model-Driven Semantic Integration of Service-Oriented Applications" at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. The DBIS team is pleased to congratulate Dr. Pokraev on his successful defense and wishes him all the best for his future.

Stanislav's Ph.D. advisers have been Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert (University of Ulm) and Prof. Dr. Roel W. Wieringa (University of Twente). Professor Dr. Reichert supervised Stanislav at the University of Twente from 2005 - 2007, and continued this supervision after he moved to University of Ulm. This successful PhD defense also demonstrates the fruitful collaboration going on between our institute and the Information Systems Group from the University of Twente.
