On June 17, 2010 Lianne Bodenstaff successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled

"Managing Dependency Relations in Inter-Organizational Models"

at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. The DBIS team is pleased to congratulate Dr. Bodenstaff on her successful defense and wishes her all the best for her future.

In her thesis, Dr. Bodenstaff proposes and validates a method that supports ensuring and maintaining consistency between running system and underlying models for inter-organizational cooperations. She provides a structured and model-independent approach to check and maintain consistency. Thereby, she focuses on identifying and maintaining these inter-model relations. She validates her method by conducting case studies in two different fields of research. The first scenario deals with business and coordination models, while the second one addresses Web service compositions.

Lianne’s Ph.D. advisers are Prof. Dr. Roel J. Wieringa (University of Twente) and Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert (University of Ulm). Manfred Reichert supervised Lianne at the University of Twente from 2006 - 2007, and continued this supervision after he moved to the University of Ulm. The successful PhD defense demonstrates the fruitful collaboration going on between the DBIS Institute and the Information Systems Group from the University of Twente.
