In the context of the BPM 2012 conference conference, which took place from September 5-7 in Tallinn, Estonia, Manfred Reichert (DBIS), Barbara Weber (University of Innsbruck) and Victoria Torres Bosch (University of Valencia) successfully organized a tutorial on large process models (i.e., large process model trees or complex inter-related process structures) and large process model collections. The tutorial discussed the challenges that arise both in respect to the handling of large process models and the management of large collections of process models (with related process variants). As a motivational backbone, large process models and process model collections from the automotive industry and the healthcare domain were presented.
Overall the tutorial, which was attended by more than 40 participants from the international research community, was a great success!
