Our paper on "Integrating Users in Object-aware Process Management Systems: Issues and Challenges", which is co-authored by Vera Künzle and Manfred Reichert, was selected as best paper at the 5th International Workshop on Business Process Design (BPD'09).
In this paper we report on some of the challenges we are tackling in the PHILharmonic Flows project. Our basic mission in this project is to develop concepts, methods and tools for realizing object- and process-aware information systems. In particular, we aim at the flexible integration of business data, business processes, and thus want to overcome major limitations known from activity-centered workflow management systems. In particular, the awarded paper deals with the integration of users in object- and process-aware information systems.
