The Transfer Center for Digitalization, Analytics & Data Science Ulm (DASU) was delighted to be involved in the planning, design and implementation of the official opening event of the new AI Center of Excellence in the Ulm Science Park.

In addition to welcoming speeches by Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economics, Labour and Tourism BW, Martin Ansbacher, Mayor of Ulm, and Prof. Manfred Reichert, Chairman of the DASU Board and Director of the DBIS, discussions and presentations were held by experts from Ulm University and representatives from industry.

The inspiring KI-Campus Ulm offers space for coworking, offices, serves as an event location and enables the meeting of ideas and reality, research and industry, science and business. The KICU project was funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg with 3 million euros and, thanks to this support, has gone from groundbreaking to opening in less than 1.5 years since August 2023.

Renowned experts from science, business and politics took part in the official ceremony. We can already look forward to many exciting events that will use the KICU as an event location in the future and to networking with the young companies that will move into the KICU.
