On November 6 and 7, 2008 the School for Information and Knowledge Systems (SIKS) organized an advanced course on "Business Process Management " in Vught, The Netherlands. Scientific directors of this course were Prof. Dr. M. Reichert (University of Ulm, DBIS) and Prof. dr.ir. W.M.P. van der Aalst (TU Eindhoven). The course had 35 participants and covered the following topics: formal foundations of BPM, overview of challenges and paradigms in workflow management, advanced techniques for process analysis, advanced issues on process flexibility, implementation of process engines, business process redesign, and practical experiences with BPM.
