By developing applications based on modern web technologies, developers today have the opportunity to reach a wide range of platforms, devices and users, using a single codebase. At the same time, established application frameworks alleviate the need to re-implement many common concepts. This paper evaluates the Quasar Framework , an emerging contender in the com-petitive field of JavaScript frameworks, and its use in developing efficient, effective and intuitive end-user applications. To accomplish this task, Quasar, built on top of the increasingly popular VueJS framework, offers a sophisticated component li-brary and fully integrated development experience from creating a new project to packaging it, and deploying on the web, as well as all major consumer platforms. Quasar was used to implement a prototype multi-platform application for the real-world use-case of complementing student labs at the clinic for dental prosthetics at Ulm University with digital management tools, aiming to improve the workflow and reduce down-times. The application, developed under the working title DentLabs , is shown to attest to Quasar’s capabilities with regard to building cross-platform, mobile-friendly applica-tions, offering a best-in-class experience to its end-users.
