With the Tinnet database, an international team of medical experts collects data to the tinnitus disease in order to reveal new medical insights to this highly prevalent disorder (10-15 percent of the population reports a tinnitus). So far, over 3'000 longitudinal patient data sets have been collected in 8 different languages. In order to cope with newly emerging demands to this database, new features must be developed and implemented. For example, basic statistical analyses must be provided in an easy way based on contemporary web technologies. Furthermore, new data types like genetics data must be integrated with the existing database structure. In this talk, advanced concepts will be presented with respect to these challenging new demands.
