Though process-aware information systems are adopted in enterprises since many years, there still exists a gap between business processes and related enterprise process information such as guidelines, checklists, templates, and e-mails. On one hand, process management technology is used to design, enact, and monitor processes; on the other, shared drives, databases, and enterprise information systems are maintained to manage process information. Due to that gap, enterprises often manually link information with process artifacts in process model collections, e.g., by means of static applications like process portals. Here, process models and process information are typically presented in a static and thus not very helpful manner. What is needed instead is an integrated access to processes and related information. This talk tackles this challenge by introducing the process navigation and visualization (ProNaVis) framework, which integrates process model collections and related enterprise process information in a navigation space. This navigation space allows the flexible and integrated navigation within and across process models and related enterprise process information.
