Despite the increasing digitization in everyday work and industry, data collection is still often based on paper-based questionnaires. However, paper-based questionnaires have some disadvantages, such as logistical problems and error susceptibility. The QuestionSys framework aims to solve these problems. The framework maps questionnaires to process models that can later be executed on a mobile basis. To ensure this, an extendable mobile lightweight process engine has been developed that can execute these models.
