Weather sensitivity and the influence of weather on various diseases have been subject to extensive research in the last decades. In addition to smart devices becoming more and more prevalent, various institutions now also offer environmental data free of charge.

Thus, an API to support researchers in finding links between diseases and environmental parameters has been created in this thesis. As there were no openly available solutions that provided support for adapting different weather sources into existing weather platforms. The API facilitates adding new data sources and queries to the stored data. Researchers can convert, filter and transform the output of the stored values to fit the needs of their research project.
