At June 12th, 2015, the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
In winter term 1989/90, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering started as new disciplines at Ulm University with the Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) being one of the first chairs in Computer Science. In the meantime, the faculty comprises three disciplines, i.e., engineering, computer science, and psychology. This combination constitutes a unique selling property of Ulm University. In particular, there are not many other universities with a faculty offering this combination and exploring technolgical systems as extensive as done at Ulm University - technology by and technolgy for people is therefore a guiding principle of the faculty's researchers.
All interested parties as well as friends of the faculty and Ulm University are cordially invited to take a glance at the different themes of the faculty at this day. After an opening ceremony with invited speakers, an open day that will give visitors the opportunity to experience the research of our faculty first-hand. In the evening, there will be a party with live music.
