Study Abroad at Ulm University: Psychology

Bachelor Courses Psychology

In the Psychology bachelor programme, usually the language of instruction is German. Only a few courses are taught in English. Nevertheless, basics in English are important. For instance most of the literature is English.

Even in courses that are taught in German, incoming students usually have the possibility to write at least the seminar paper in English.

Courses on varying topics

Each semester, we offer additional courses in different modules covering a wide range of topics. Normally, each of these modules contains several courses with varying topics. The actual titles and topics for the courses will be decided only shortly before the start of any given semester. Most courses are seminars, but there are also some lectures or other types of courses. Depending on type of the course, grading or module examination (graded or ungraded) is based on an exam, the investigation and scientific presentation of an assigned topic, a seminar paper or something similar. Usually, the language of instruction is German, but occasionally it can be English.

We regularly offer courses in the following modules (you can use these generic titles when preparing your learning agreement):

Please note:

*language: EN = There is at least one English course offered regulary. GE/EN = English courses are offered regularly, but we cannot guarantee it every semester.

**module description instead of course description: If possible, we use hyperlinks to the course description of each course which is offered on a regular basis (either in winter or summer semester), but because of changes in our B.Sc. psychology programme some courses have changed and will be offered as new courses. For these courses there are no course descriptions yet which is why we use module descriptions for these courses so far. As soon as the course descriptions are available, they will be updated here.
