Bio: Prof. Dr. Dr. Markus Raab, Dipl. Psych. is Professor of Psychology, Head of the Department of Performance Psychology and Acting Director of the Institute of Psychology at the German Sport University Cologne. He is research professor at the London South Bank University, UK and currently President of the European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC). He studies movement science and psychology and has a PhD in movement science and one in psychology. His research was awarded by national and international societies and his research is supported by national and international research council.
His main interest are judgment and decision making, motor learning and control from a dynamic and probabilistic perspective. A current research interest is to combine decision making and embodied cognition within „Embodied choices“, that is to understand how the body and its movements
influence choices. In 2017 he predicted the development in sport and exercise psychology until 2050 and tries to fulfil his own prediction.
