1. Overview
To make it easier to distinguish between seminars, the terms Bachelor's seminar and Master's seminar are used below. The examination regulations (in German: Fachspezifische Prüfungsordnung, short: FSPO) does not recognise this conceptual distinction. The FSPO 2021 and FSPO 2022 in Computer Science as well as the FSPO 2024 for Cognitive Systems restrict the repeatability of (pro-)seminars, and seminars are also graded. Only the FSPO 2021 provides for a proseminar. The following figures provides an overviews with the main features of the (pro-)seminars in the FSPOs.
(Pro)Seminars
- Proseminar: not graded, can be repeated once
- Bachelor Seminar: graded, can be repeated once
- Master Seminar: graded, can be repeated until passed
- no proseminar
- Bachelor Seminar: graded, can be repeated twice
- Master Seminar: graded, can be repeated twice
Students can participate in the those seminars that are assigned to the module handbook of their degree program. Since the forms of assessment and the repeatability of (pro)seminars differ depending on the FSPO, students from the different FSPOs must be treated accordingly.
The students are assigned to the (pro)seminars upfront via Moodle, which does not take the different FSPOs into account.
2. Entering Grades and Achievements
The deadline for (pro)seminar registration in the winter term 2024/25 is 15 November 2024.
