Content

Since for every “power generation” the primary energy is important at first the lecture provides an overview of the energy demand, availability and resources of the countries in the world. After a brief theoretical introduction about the principle of the electro mechanic energy conversion the conventional electric machines are presented. In this context the transformers are also mentioned.

After that, the electric energy transfer and the large industrial energy conversion are elucidated. The thermodynamic cycles which are particularly relevant regarding engineering are especially explained.

A precise overview of the different topics and the sequence can be found in the descriptions of the modules.
